The Journey So far
Today, I realized that I haven’t written since December 2023. It’s easy to blame this lapse on the myriad challenges life has thrown my way—from navigating a court case to juggling work responsibilities, and even to the deeper journey of finding myself. It’s tempting to point fingers and assign blame, even when others are at fault. But ultimately, the choices in life lie in our own hands. We decide how much impact each event will have on us, how much to let go, and when to move on. Yet, the heart often has its own way of controlling us, making us its puppet, even though they say the brain is the strongest.
A lot has happened since December 2023. Thankfully, much of it has been good, and these experiences have made me stronger. However, procrastination has been a relentless adversary, with fears and self-doubts always lurking, ready to take over at the first opportunity. As the renowned author Paulo Coelho once said, “The fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself.” These words resonate deeply, reminding me that our fears often amplify the challenges we face. Our journey, also throws us life-saving buoys—unexpected pieces of driftwood that appear just when we need them the most, as we float across the deep blue sea of existence. It’s in these moments of uncertainty that we gather every bit of hope and prayer within ourselves and push forward in the direction the waves take us. Whether we are heading towards home, where familiar faces will save us, or towards a new land where we will establish our own path, the journey itself is what defines us.
Getting back to writing is not just a goal but a necessity for me. There is so much to say, so much to share. The motivation and strength to do so might waver, but as the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu wisely stated, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” For me, that step is writing a para at a time. So here I am, ready to embrace the journey once again. Each word, each sentence, brings me closer to my goal. Writing is my way of navigating through life’s unpredictable seas – Sharing every bit of chronicles and I am determined to reach my destination, one para at a time.
