Lent…
Ever since I left Goa to work in Kuwait. I have forgotten the feeling of a proper lental season.
In Goa our culture brings in religious elements and the warm spirit of the community for everything we do during Lent. From stations of the cross to retreats . We all do out Lent obligation together as one community.
However in Kuwait, work and other commitments take up a priority and people don’t have families here. The lental activities are more spiritually focused than cultural :(.
People would always say,ray focus on your own spiritual growth than focusing on every one. I feel more than we need to pray and be together as one community, than one individual.
I feel we need to work, to bring a little of Goa and Goan spirituality here in Kuwait
